Aftercare

Taking proper care of your investment will help prevent infection and promote proper healing. Continued care for your tattoo will help it stay vibrant for years to come.

Keep your plastic wrap for 2hours and then carefully remove and discard the plastic wrap and wipe it with a clean wet tissue.
Apply the Bepanthen(It's on sale at the pharmacy.) or Vaseline a thin layer 2-3 times daily.
Your tattoo will begin to peel and flake like a sunburn.
DO NOT SCRATCH, RUB, PICK, OR OTHERWISE ACCELERATE THIS STEP.  This will ruin your tattoo.

DO NOT TOUCH YOUR TATTOO if it's not necessary.
This is crucial in minimizing your risk of infection.
DO NOT use harsh cleansers or scented lotion.
DO NOT use tanning beds or tanning sprays for 2-3 weeks.
UV rays are ALWAYS bad for tattoo-aging. Avoid sunburn, salt or chlorine water, or hot tubs until your tattoo is completely healed.
DO NOT submerge in water.
Showers are great but no baths, ocean water for at least the first 3 weeks.
Swimming should be avoided for the first three weeks as well.
Do not drink alcohol for a week.
Wear loose clothing (preferably cotton) and avoid constricting accessories like bra straps and tight waistbands over a fresh tattoo.

Swelling, seeping, soreness and itching are all common in the first few days or week.
You may get inflammation due to poor management, abnormal constitution, or drinking, if most of the symptoms are the same after 3-4 days, please take anti-inflammatory drugs or visit the dermatologist.
